Hi guys,
The red paint on my almarine seafire has white fade marks where i believe the sun has got the boat?
I have tried t cut and a polishing pad and it removes it after a long long long long time of poloshing! I was wondering if there is a better way to this as it only works on certain bits!
Cheers

Re: Fade marks

Lots of companies make a " color restorer". Maquires, West Marine etc. Use it like a polish, rub it on, buff it off. Usually takes it off, although it probably won't last forever.

Re: Fade marks

I hear vaseline works ok too, although some dont like the idea, my thoughts are vaseline cant hurt it that much right... Considering what vaseline is used for  but is also temporary, but after the buffing and all need to put a good coating of sealer wax to retain shine as long as possible being that it is an long and painful process (feel the burn!) When done by hand... Good luck....

Re: Fade marks

Try 2000 grit wet sand in small area then buff. You'll probably find the rest of the red is not as shiny as you thought it was! Red seems to be the worst for fading...
