Hey everyone,
Looks like everybody is getting ready or already enjoying some 'toon time! I am trying to find a welder in the Chaleston, West Ashley, Santee, Manning, Goose Creek, Summerville, Monks Corner area that welds on pontoons. Was hoping someone on here may know of someone. The front baffle on my right pontoon is taking in a LOT of water. In three or four hours it will accumulate 20+ gallons. When on the trailer, however, not a lot of water drips out. I know where one weld towards the front is leaking, but I imagine I have a hole somewhere thats the main culprit. I'm assuming the hole is sitting right over one of the trailer boards. I had a friend of mine weld some 1" plugs into the top each baffle. This allows me to put in a garden hose and use an electric pump to get any water out. I had no idea how much water was getting in, though. The toons arent in the best of shape since this boat spent many years in salt water by the previous owner. I have priced new toons but that would cost more than what I paid for the boat! None of the other baffles leak, so I just want to have the leaking section addressed. I asked my friend if he was interested it looking at it, but he doesn't have a way to get the boat off of the trailer. Can anyone help? I'm sure not having any luck. Thanks!!
