After mostly restoring my boat I have decided to replace my 1960 Evinrude 75 hp. All new parts in lower unit and runs like a dream EXCEPT it drinks gas faster than I can afford. What would be a reasonable price to sell it for?

It's what the market demands. Most folks know it's a gas guzzler. I don't usually deal with engines that big but as a guess, $500-$600 with a tank in my area. But that's just a guess.

I would take anything over $100 for it. You may end up giving it away.

Not to drift, but it's interesting that the '60 Evinrude line-up didn't offer anything between an 18hp and 40hp or between the 40hp and the 75hp. I think there were a lot of boats in '60 that had a 70hp rating so I"d think Evinrude might have lost a few sales.;)

I'd list it for a bit for $750 and see if I could get anyone that doesn't know it's a gas guzzler. Then drop it to $500 and take what I could get.
