Re: Falcon 14ft

IDK, are you trying to restore it to period or just make it useable? Restoring to original will be a challenge and will take alot of time/research. Hit the local craigslist, ebay and boat salvage yards for restore. Good luck on that hunt. However, building for use there's unlimited resources for these. Have an idea what you want to use the boat for? I.E. fishing, hunting, pleasure rides or skiing? Starter for what engine? year? make? Post a few pics if you're able they'll be better able to help you. Congrats on the boat purchase and welcome.

Hey IDK! Welcome to iboats!

OK, first thing you need to do is post up some photos of your rig. Then we can go from there.

There aren't really any model-specific parts for a boat. You'll have to make do with generic equivalents, but that's not usually a big deal because most boats are built with generic parts. For your motor, however, you will need to know it's make/horsepower/year to find parts.

Welcome to the forum IDK, for my Falcon restore check my link in my signature. Too bad you're not closer to Michigan, buddy of mine has three vintage windshield's on Craigslist right now. For seats you can buy front to back lounge seats or go with pedestals like my Falcon. It'll be a great first project boat for ya. Look forward to some pictures.

OK, IDK! Thanks for the photos man:) I really like the goat in the background, I suspect not part of the Starcraft deal though, eh.

You'll have no trouble finding all the parts you need to complete this rig, eBay will be your friend for most of it.

You will have a terrible time finding an original windshield for it though, very rare. You can pick up an aftermarket one but you'll pay dearly. Many guys just refit a windshield off of a scrapped boat that has been scrapped out. You can often find them on craigslist.

Hey, click on the "Starcrafts being rebuilt" in my signature - giant library of how to rebuild these great old tin rigs.

Have fun!:D
