Best time of the year alright! Expecting snow in mts today. Rain here - get to start those bush/scrap piles burning - been waiting for rain so pasture won't burn. Trout are biting again, geese/duck's moving south. Big game hunting starts soon. Lawn will quit growing!<br /><br />Ah - life is good.

Hey Dolluper...<br /><br />My buddy Jim has a theory... he keeps all kinds of spare parts for his boat... the theory is, if you have a spare, you are garunteed never to need it!<br /><br />Does that theory work for snow?? If I buy a snowblower this year, will I never have to use it??

Had a light frost Tuesday morning. Wedesday afternoon got up to 104. Today was a nice 75 or somewhere around there.

Yep! Ice on the cars this morning, sun streaming through the rapidly thinning trees and the housemartins and swallows have packed up and left. The Rowan Trees (aka Mountain Ash) have had masses of berries on them for the last two months suggesting it may be a bad winter here. Just hope its just cold and not rain again: a lot of houses aren't fixed from last january's flooding.<br /><br />Can't really complain though: it ain't nothing like what the Southern States are getting. <br /><br />Woodshed is full, coal store is getting filled Tuesday, oil tank is full. Think I'll just hibernate in front of the 'puter and stay cosy watching the cold stuff with the "safety of being out of range" <br /><br />Take care folks
