fan on suzuki eiger

have an eiger 4oo suzuki quad and it seems like the fan doesnt come on. we dont use it much. but i still think it should come on.anyone out there who has one that might have same problem. we called the dealer and he said for the exhaust to get red hot was normal but i dont buy it! that doesnt sound right but you think the dealer would tell us to bring it in to get our money. so im wondering if theyre right!

I have a vinson and a king quad and the fans work on both of them (both water cooled). It takes some time but after serious hill climbing and trail riding (over 30 minutes of hard low range riding) they come on.

I called the suzuki dealership where I used to work and asked and they said check the fuse. The eiger is oil cooled and they fan comes on sincerely less. Is the overheat light coming on? The pipe issue is okay as long as it is running okay.
