Faria Gauges

Just wondering if these gauges are compatable with a Yamaha motor. My boat has these on it now and the trim gauge wouldn't work, The dealer said it was because these are mercury gauges. Now the Tach is messing up and just wondering if all the gauges need to be replaced. This is a new boat so I think the dealer should replace if they are not right for a Yamaha.

http://www.tflx.com/PDF/99320.pdf This is a good reference for Tachometer guages. It will define how many poes your motor is. Depending on what you had for a mercury vs. what you installed there might be a differance.<br /><br />But your dealer is part right...differant motors have differant sending units for trim guages.<br /><br />Bob

This is a new boat with Yamaha motor and wanted to make sure that these gauges were not compatable to a Yamaha before I raised to much of a fuss about them being for Mercury. I think they will change all gauges to Yamaha anyway but just wanted to make sure incase they didn't change them all.
