Re: Faria Gauges

I have a 2004 Crestliner that has Faria guages. They look nice and seem to work fine. I have a speedo, tach, volt meter, trim guage, and fuel guage.

The only problem I had is with the fuel guage. When you turn the key, sometimes it will stick on empty until you give it a slight tap. Then it will work correctly. This has only happened a few times.

They all seem to read accurate. I think all newer crestliners may have them.

Check out this link. The prices seem to be good on Faria Gauges. http://kvesurplus.com/Instrumentation.html

These are the same gauges I have. http://kvesurplus.com/93.html
Jay

Re: Faria Gauges

Faria makes good guages. I have a Faria tach on my boat.

BTW, there was a press release by Faria a while back about fake knock-off gauges being sold as Faria gauges. If I can find the link, I'll post it.

Re: Faria Gauges

I put a Faria tach in my auto 40 years ago. Worked fine. Probably doesn't work now!

Re: Faria Gauges

I contacted Faria and they said these were made for Bayliner and are probably surplus. The description says Bayliner and minor scratches on bezel. Going for a good price so far.

Thanks for the replies,

Dan

Re: Faria Gauges

Faria is a good brand- I have all Faria gauges in my boat; fuel, volts, speedo, tach, trim , temp. ProLine uses ( or used) Faria gauges in their boats. I've seen many branded gauges out there that were made by Faria.

Their website is great- tons of info on gauge hook up and troubleshooting. I have the domed lenses on mine and I think they look fabulous. I've gotten many compliments on the gauge panel on my boat because it shines so well in the sunlight.

UFM82

Authentic Faria gauges are top-notch and I wasn't trying to discourage you, just to let you know to be on the lookout. I'm sure you'll be very happy with your purchase.

Here's my first set of Farias on an '88 Bayliner:

All have worked flawlessly and haven't given me a lick of trouble.

My Chris Craft also had these gages. No problem with them and they seem to be a good product.

If you have any problem with the gages, you can send them back to Faria for a rebuild. I had Faria work on my sync and one of the tachs last year - they did a good job fixing the "sticky needles".

I’ve had them.. they do what their made to do... but personally i like gaffrig or Livorsi gauges. ive also had some friends who have had great results with SScomp gauges... if i had to re-rig i would use them for sure.

http://www.sscompetition.com/
