Fast Idle...78' 150 evinrude

[okie will]

1st can anyone tell me what my idle speed should be with the muffs on?...Next motor hasn't run for 3 years, replaced water pump and plugs started just great..my mechanic told me to run Berrymans with the fuel..but I can't get in touch with him...Is the Berrymans causing my idle speed to be around 1300-1500...or is it something else..Please help

Put it in the water, idle in gear should be around 750.
On the muffs 1100rpm.

Make sure all the carb butterfly's are fully closed at idle.
