Fast Idle stays on

After fixing the timer base my idle is staying high for a long time before it kicks down, any suggestions? The port side head is still much cooler than the starboard, maybe I should check the temp. sensor or check for something clogged?

Is the timer base binding and not rotating freely?

Do you care to tell us what motor you are working on? it would appear to be a v engine. If that is the case, the heads should run about the same temp. Sounds like thermostats are suspect at least.

Both Therms were broken, replaced and fast idle is fine, thanks
