Got the over heat alarm running at full speed. I let it idle until it cooled off, it seemed to be running ok at lower rpms but started running rough around 2500. I turned it off and let it sit for a while. after about 45 minutes started it back up and it was running ok took it up to about 4000 rpm on the way back to the boat launch and it was running nice and smooth, but a little rough when I slowed down, but no overheat. I checked the tattle tail at the boat launch and it did not have any water coming out. I'm thinking plugged water passage or new water pump.

I was wondering what else I need to check after an over heat?
