After fighting intermittent problems at the end of last year on my 5.7, I finally diagnosed and figured out a bad fuel pump. Without doing proper research, I ordered a carter online and installed fine. After just 2 times out on the water with it doing great, I parked the boat for a couple weeks. Jump in it last night to test in the driveway only to find no fuel again. A couple times of trying then it started spewing stinky smoke etc. Pulled it out, tested straight to voltage, it would try to pump but then pour smoke again. Any reason to believe there's something more than bad luck of the draw on a cheap product here? And how does everyone feel about sierra?
