hey been there done that when i was 18 moved to the big city my own appartment liveing large one day it rained and the parking lot flooded so i toke my pole tied on a smoked chub and throw it out the window some guys walked buy and started laughing at me so i set the hook and realed in a chub litle while latter there was 4 guys fishing in the parking lot i about wet my pants but what the heack city didn't have cable tv yet needed some entertain ment

Confession time. I sometimes keep bluegill alive in a bait tank for catfish bait from one week to another. One week it rained so hard everything was flooded and since I could not fish I decided to be silly and took one of those bream and hooked it on a rod and let it go swimming in the 1' of water in the road in front of the house. I was sitting in a chair and of course the kids were going back and forth but I did not let them see me hook up and release. One laughing asked if they were biting. I said yes and proceded to "set" the hook and reel the gill in. I then released it back into the street. Very shortly the kids were all out with poles and nets looking for the fish I was "catching". It was the second best time I had with the neighborhood kids the best was a Halloween but that is another story. The kids playing in the street and such is about the only thing I miss from living in the city after I got married. I am real glad to be back as close to the country as I can be now.
