Hey guys! I'm Eric (Mxzeatr), bought our Four Winns 190 OB this spring and loved the entire summer. Did lots of cleaning and waxing, but the boat was in near perfect shape for the age. I love the fact of having a big outboard too! Someday I'd like to put a newer motor on it but for now the 47mph top speed on my GPS is good enough for us! Cruises awesome at 35mph, just ordered a stainless prop for it yesterday!

Dave from the sunny AZ. Yes I love my 241 1997 7.4L 454 Lib named "Ten Under" with the deep V she runs out great cruises well at 30mph and takes a 2ft chop with a smile. We boat many of the lakes here in AZ all year round with the weather being so warm this year we may be able to ski till late Nov. Cheers

Might as well join up. I dont plan on getting rid of the Four Winns any time soon. Heck, I havent even seen it in person yet! This project (detailed more in the thread "Another Project") is not my first Four Winns. My first boat was a 1988 160 Freedom, that we pulled from the showroom floor. I was 16 years old, and thought that boat was the key to fun! It was an OMC powered 4 cylinder, and, looking back now, was pretty small, but it introduced me to boating and to Four Winns. After a couple of PWCs and a disaster of a restoration on an '84 Invader 19' (had a "Stringer" outdrive...yikes!!), I was finally ready for another boat. Along comes "Trinity"...my $300 1998 220 Horizon. Looking forward to having her back ship shape by spring, and in the water by April.

Hope you have a blast restoring that thing.. Seems like I work my tail off on mine trying to get everything back into spec.. Just wore out tonight from working my tail off to finish the outdrive up and get it ready to make some test runs
