I currently own a four winns 240 horizon. twofootitis is a terrible problem. The other day, I came across a Cobalt 282 with twin 496's on youtube. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BOAT!!! Im going to the local dealer this afternoon to see if they have one on the floor to take a close look at. Ive never been in a cobalt, so Im looking forward to see if I can find the difference in quality that they are known for.

The wife says no way, and I will respect that, but I have to go see. Not very often in life, does something jump out at me, like this boat has. This is going to bother me, (and my wife lol) until I can make it happen.

That is a terrible disease. Getting rid of it usually comes with new problems like,
eating cereal for dinner, sleeping on the couch and washing your own clothes.

Re: Fell in love

First, I understand. Our first boat was a '94 Cobalt 252. Great boat. Then I fell in love with the 293. I could not get that thing off my mind. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, the wife fell in love with it too! It is now sitting in my slip. Word of warning...don't take the wife with you or you may come home with it!

Second, yes, you will be able to tell the difference. Get it in the water and you'll really notice!

Don't know where you're located, but I saw a used one in Middle River MD for a pretty deep discount.
