Does anyone here no where i can find a female gas connection for a 1956 johnson seahorse. It doesn't have the usual two prong attachment like most. the a male connection on the motor has three prongs. I know i need a pressurized gas tank for this motor but i can't seem to find a tank that has this kind of connection. A brand new one will cost me $125.00. I guess if it is a hard thing to come by im not sure what i will do. i appreciate any insight on this matter. Im new to this all. thanks scott

Well, pressure tanks are no longer manufactured and have not been for a long time. But that been said....they are still around and functional.

I was lucky, found one locally with the two hose and female connector. I did have to repair the female connect with a new spring and o-rings.

Places to find a pressure tank.

- ebay
-AOMCI forum (under there webervise section)

The tanks will run anywhere from $75 to $125 depending on condition.

Here is the link to AOMCI (Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc). It does not cost any to join the forum/site. (Can post a WTB want to buy ad for free, under the webvertise section. The member have a lot spare motor and parts and are willing to sell. I have bought used or unavailable parts through them and have always walked away satisfied and I am also a member of the AOMCI. Great bunch of guys.

Most place only go back to 1968 like BRP/Evirnude website, but this site goes back to 1955 with parts diagrams and have a parts breakdown of the pressure tank, hose and connector.
