Hello all. I have a cargo trailer with a burned out bulb, but can't figure out how to replace it. Do I have to remove the entire fixture from the fender to do this? Does this cover just snap off somehow? I've attached a pic of the fixture.

Thanks.

Re: Fender Lights

The lens should pop off,get a thin blade between the lens and white housing. However, there are some that don't,you have to replace the whole housing.

I totally agree with GNG on his assessment. Just take your time and a thin bladed standard screw driver and go slowly to see if the lens comes loose. It looks like it should, but not being there to see for fact, it could be a sealed unit...

Have the same lights on the covered cargo trailer. They are held in on the two sides. They have 2 prongs on the back to plug into the fixture, and no they are not made to replace the bulb. They are a sealed unit with a 916? light inside. The good thing they are under 4 bucks most places, like here on iboats.

With it being the fender, I'd pull the light/sealed unit, out then check the ground/power. The movement on the fender and the flat surface will do all kinds of fun to find loose connections.

Mine is a little different with the unit being one light red/amber combo and mounted so the it plugs in straight down. pita

good luck

Look on the side of the lens. Should be a little groove to put a screw driver in to pop it off.
