Fernco Fittings on Exhaust?

I have a unique exhaust arrangement and would like to use Fernco rubber pipe fittings on my y pipe connections. I wonder if anybody has done this with success. The usual fittings are just rubber also and it's a wet exhaust. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

No do NOT use household household plumbing rubber... You can but exhaust hose by the foot and cut off the length you need to make couplers... two clamps per joint (IE 4 per coupler)

Unfortunately that won't work since I'm going from a 4 inch piece to a 3 inch piece. I do have some leftover 3 inch straight exhaust pipe if I cut a piece of that it will fit perfectly inside my 4 inch rubber and over my 3 inch pipe. I can then double clamp it as before.

Use metal to change size and rubber to join or grab some oem reducer boots
