Cannot figure out how to trim manually, lever won’t move ???
The guy actually got back to me and told me he ran it and didn’t take it out because he’s older so it’s the unburned fuel which make sense because it was thinner liquid and silted black instead of nasty oil much appreciated response!!that hole is a drain to flush water from the exhaust housing ! Especially in cold climates wher water could freeze nothing to do with the oil contained in the GC gear section. That oil leak may be just wash out of carbon residue and fuel mix from the exhaust housing .
the same juices can exit the prop cavities.
if the GC is not infiltrated with water causing cream color oil or drops of water dripping out when you unscrew the lower fill hole and you can do a pressure/vacum test ok.......... then GC seals are fine.
always use new nylon washers on the top vent and bottom oil fill screws
I did realize I didn’t put down the model and also found out that the release is on the handle near the locking screws and that lever is only used when motor is free.Looking at the bottom Picture, I think someone took that linkage apart, and put it together wrong, mainly that Tilt lock(#47), looks like it should be turned around. Installed as it is, it is preventing the Lock/Unlock Lever(#66) from moving
However, what Motor do you have? That would make it easier to find the Correct Part diagram
