Hello, I have read multiple posts on on major and minor fiber glass hull repair. I think I am ready to give it a go and am looking for acknowledgment of those with more experience. I view my damage as minor? The hull damage was sustain on a rock at mid tide and shown in pictures attached. My boat is not "cored" per manufacturer.
1) Make sure all working area is dry 2) smooth with 80 course sandpaper removing any and all "whiteish" flaking away so only to see smooth shiny greenish 3) obtain epoxy resin by Marine Tex and apply as directed 4) sand lightly ???? to prepare for gel coat repair ???
5) Plan to use Grady White Gel Repair Kit 30 - 029 after Marine Tex dries.
Question does it matter what marine tex epoxy resin I use?
marine tex - rapid set
marine tex - flex set
marine tex - poly dura
