well, in a search for a new boat, I came across this one. I'm a sucker for older style deep duel console type boats. Decent deadrise, a little bow flair. Seems to be a nice bay boat. Not at all what I was looking for, but so pretty.(in the eye of the beholder) Anybody heard of or have any info on them??(this one is a 70's 19ft)

lol, I guess I keep finding boats that were in production for a week and nobody has ever heard of them. I seem to be good at that.

Seems to me there's a lot of staining on the floors and transom, and what looks like a number of extra holes in the transom, all of which could indicate a lot of weather exposure. The floors and transom may be rotted and need replacing. You can do some testing by standing and stamping on the floors, and rapping on the transom with a small hammer, but it's hard to tell without experience.

you caught me. The starcraft may be going out the window. I'm just such a sucker for these old duel consoles. Nothing like a boat that looks like an old bathtub withouth the feet. lol. this old girl is right in our backyards down in felton. If all works out, I will know by early next week what I'm going to do. Still doing a little research and trying to find out a little info on the manufacture of the boat.

Guess a little 12ft tiller starcraft for the river may get me into the starcraft club. I will have to keep my eyes peeled

P.S. Thank you for that resto link. he did a very nice job. I have no reason to believe that under the deck would be any different on the boat I'm looking at. Only thing I would have done different is to take the cap off before the restore. Such a pain to work with that cap on. And I love those seat boxes. I may have to keep my eyes out for something like that if I can work out a deal on this boat.

Greg is a super nice guy so if you have any questions I'm sure he'd be happy to answer.

Don't mess around with anything less than 14' for your little tiller boat.

I'll have to keep that in mind. 14ft or more it is. I wish I still had my old fiberglass sears gamefisher 14ft fiberglass trihull. small enough that you could go up through the rocks and past the route 30 bridge.
