fiberglass cleanup question

I had my floor replaced last fall and now I noticed that there is a yellow smear on the side of my boat. I think it was caused by fiberglass resin or something. what is the best product to get this off without hurting the paint or gel coat. or is there a safe method to get it off??

Try rubbing compound.

The yellow smear is most likely resin, if it's polyester resin try an ice scraper, if it's epoxy it will be much more difficult to remove.
