Fiberglass Cloth oz.

How do you determine fiberglass cloth oz. I see they sell 18oz 24 oz & 42oz.
All i can firgure is that if 1 square yard is 18oz. it is 18oz fiberglass cloth. Is this correct?

You've got it right for woven products, mat is buy the square foot.
