Alright I have done a ton of research on how to do the job and this board has helped out so much. I have torn out the floor, foam and some of the stringers. Now I am ready to purchase the supplies needed to finish the job. I have been looking on ebay and some other websites but still not sure exactly what to buy. I am asking that someone with lots of time doing this project or has an overall consensus of what most would say I should buy. Many of the posts on here debate which is better and this and that. I understand there is probably a hundred different ways to do the job. Just give me a shopping list name/type and the best place to get it and also the amount needed for lets say a 18ft boat since that is about the size of most on this board. I am not looking for the best products, just enough to get the job done properly. Then make this thread a sticky for the future newbies like myself. Thank you.

So either everyone that has a good running boat is out on the water or no one wants to play along. Come on someone has to have a good idea about this stuff.

Call MAS epoxy. The president of the company will give you all kinds of help, and check your progress.

there are way too many variables and decisions to make to write up an accurate list for your (or anyone else's) project. looking at what the builder used to construct it will give you the best idea of what to put back. you might consider some minor re-designs to prevent whatever caused it to rot this time. there's plenty to read around here. uscomposites is a very popular supplier but, of course, there are others...that's the one i used the most.

good luck

Tazman282 I put a list on mine, think is on the second page , then asked kind os the same question , and didnt bet a responce eather !! and there right the are so many things that everone does different that its really hard to just give you a list !!!
You have do decide on what you are going to use poly or epoxy , poly you have to use matt and epoxy you dont, epoxy is more money , you have to decide on what type of glass you want ,
So hope this kind of helps , its not that we dont want to help it just you have to decide , [ do you know what i am trying to say]
If you look in my thread there is a list , I have a 15.6 trihull and its 700 for my stuff !! so go check out my list , and there are a few others that i have seen ,
where are you at ?? US Composites is the best place I have heard about and they have the best prices by far !! Mas is also good heard in where coors got a call from the president of Mas and helped him out , Now thats coustmer service !!! ohh us composites is in florida !!
Ok just get a list going and I will help if i can , and there some other that will steer you in the right direction !! John

Thanks for the reply's and especially yours oops. I understand that there are a ton of different ways to get this job done, but for me and this being my first adventure at this, I just want the job done. For many of you that love this intricate work will still be on this board six months from now giving all of your great advice and we thank you for it. For me when the job is done I hope to never come back to this section again in my lifetime, because if I do, something went wrong.

Thanks for the list I am off to purchase some supplies and get this project started.
