Fiberglass hole on bottom of boat, then what?

so i had a hole on the bottom of my boat near the transom, i patched it 3 times with fiberglass, now my question is, do i need to put anything over top of it, or can i just leave it. it is sanded down and smooth.

You could use a gel coat repair kit to match the boat

What did you use to patch it? Polyester putty?
