I recently purhcased a 12' alum pond boat. The previous owner had covered (smeared) the bottom with fiberglass. Doesnt leak. It does add lots of weight.
Anyone have any suggestions as how to remove the fiberglass?////////

Fitz.

Bondo,

I have a paint remover. Looks like A souped up hair dryer. You can not hold you hand in front for more than a few seconds.
Would that work?
Thanks

I had a fiberglass patch on the aluminum boat I am working on.
When I sprayed the paint remover on, the patch came off. I used Hydrostrip502 on mine
