Fiberglass rope/ epoxy compatability?

I need to repair a thin crack near my splashwell. I will be using West epoxy. I have several strands of fiberglass rope (used for attaching fins to surfboards) that would do nicely. I looked for an e-glass version but no luck. Will it work?

Yes, rope will work fine with epoxy. You can make your own rope by pulling strands from woven roven.

By doing the rope thing, chances are it will crack again. You need to check the structure, might have to beef it up some.

Thanks Bill. By the way, any cobia showing up yet? The water here is still around 58 degrees, but I'm hoping for a warm up in the next 1-2 weeks.

I haven't heard reports on cobia yet. It's been windy and not many small boats going offshore. My temp gauge was showing 60-62 degrees on the incoming at Sebastian Inlet last week. The river was showing 60-68 just inside and 15 miles north. Still cold down here. Addictive Fishing and Florida Sportsman web sites usually have good Florida reports. AF inside and FS outside.

"Mogan Man" Blair Wiggens grew up on the same waters as me but 20 yrs later. I see him fishing at some of my old spots on his tv program!
