I got an idea and want some feed back from those that know.
I am redoing an 85 Bayliner cuddy cab, stringers and deck, could this work?
Coat wood with 700198 Boat yard polyester resin from Infinity Composites.
Grind/sand hull for clean bonding.
Bond strigers to hull with FASCO 110 epoxy and make fillets, use csm to create
a bounding surface on hull using Boat yard resin, wrap 1708 Biaxil from hull
up to stringer top endge on both sides, use CSM to cap stringers. Then use
Polyester Epoxy(edit I ment Polyester resin) with 3:1 medium hardener from Uscomposites to do final layup.
The Boat yard polyester resin stays tacky(according to their website) for next
layer.
Asking for thoughts of this combo due to I have never fiberglassed, and the
boat yard resin is cheaper. From what I have been reading it's not the resin
but the cloth that makes the strength.
Ant one use Infinity Composites Boat Yard Resin?
Any problems using two different resins? Both still polyester just different brands.
Thanks in advance. or just thanks for reading.
