Over 12 months ago I acquired a a little glass fishing boat in need of TLC, finally got around to starting the project last month.
The hull is basically sound but there is 2 small areas of osmosis in the transom and a very bad fibreglass patch job near the nose.
First step was to remove the existing 2 pack polyurethane which proved to be a hellish job, I finally completed the job with copious amounts of paint stripper and a very sharp chisel. In total, 2 coats of topcoat and 3 coats of undercoat. I am now down to the original gelcoat.
