i HAVE AN EVINRUDE 115 MODEL #E115ELEVC AND SER #Q04336658 THEN IT SAYS POWER MASS 85KW 145KG. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, OR STAND FOR? ALSO, HOW CAN YOU TELL IF IT'S AN FICHT OR NOT?

The 85kw is the metric version of hp , I think.<br /><br />Well ok, the 85 kw, is 85 kilowatts or 85,000 watts, and approx 744 watts make up one hp. So 85,000 divided by 744 = 114.24 hp. Something like that. <br /><br />The 185 kg, ??? Is this a torque figure??

Thats what I thought the Kg was, but didn't think his motor weighed that much, so I didn't want to look to much like a "Billy-Bob Bubba".

Nope.<br />E115ELEVC<br />E=Evinrude<br />115=115 hp<br />E=Electric Start<br />L=Shaft Lenght 20 in<br />EV=(can't be) EU=1997<br />C=Model Run or Suffix<br /><br />These letters tells you if is a FICHT but you don't have any of them.<br />FS=FICHT, Trim & Tilt <br />FT=FICHT, Trim & Tilt / Special Styling <br />I=FICHT Fuel Injection <br /><br />You already got an answer about 85kW and 145 kg.<br />735.5 W = 1 hp in that case it is 115.7 hp<br />145 kg = 319.7lbs<br />Just to confirm (Yes I know I don't have to).<br /><br />Where I found this there was two other:<br />US hp (550 lbf.ft/s)<br />"Electric" hp (746 W)<br />And the Metric hp (735.5 W) again.<br /><br />The web page is in swedish so no link
