Looking at getting a 8-9' inflatable off this website. I was wondering what the average fill/collapse time is on one of these with a standard foot pump?
Thanx

Re: Fill time?

Too long. Even a cheap battery powered pump is better than a foot pump. But to answer your question, depending on what kind of shape you're in, 30 to 45 minutes. Or about 5 minutes with an electric pump.

Re: Fill time?

Lately we have been using an electric pump to get a majority of the air in. Last weekend we had a floorboard malfunction on our 10' zodiac a couple miles away from the launch, took us no longer then 6 minutes to pump our zodiac from nearly empty to full using our double action bicycle-style rafting pump (approx 1ft tall)

I would highly recommend any sort of double action rafting pump.

I use a leaf blower to get it close and finish with the foot pump.
