I have replaced all wood from the deck down and the transom of my 1989 Wellcraft 215 Eclipse bowrider.

What filler should I use with my epoxy resin to fill the oversize holes I will drill for my V8 motor mounts. I plan to use lag screws to anchor the mounts. I used Cabosil for filleting and bedding but am virtually out and will go buy whatever filler I need (unless I can simply cut up some 6 oz. glass or DB1700 to use for filler).

Thanks

BTW - If I had known how physically difficult this would be - stooping and bending in a V-hull for hours - at age 55 - I would not have done it! You seasoned shipwrights have my utmost respect!

Hey Fosselized, I haven't heard of anyone using anything other than epoxy resin, though I have been known to be wrong on more than one occasion...I can't see where it would hurt to add some chopped strands to it...but that's just my opinion...helpful aren't I lol

almost 52 here, and on my second redo...it sure don't get easier either at our age :(:D
