I am working on a 1985 Rajun Cajun and under the pedestal mount on the rear deck is rotted out from the deck not getting sealed well when the mount was installed. Is there a product that I can use to fill the void created if I were to install another piece of wood under the decking? I cant get the wood cut out from under the deck but I can laminate another piece under it but this will still leave a rot hole between. If I can fill the void it would give the stability back. Thanks.

post pics, however seriously doubt that is the only rot on a 34 year old boat.

most likely you will be doing a complete rebuild. the last thing to rot is the wood decking, long after the stringers, etc. have rotted away.

I was going to reach in with a multi tool and cut a bit out and replace with a glassed piece of plywood but it is harder access than I thought. the wood is solid around the rot hole.

that is rotten wood. the discoloration is rot, and the white-spidery stuff is rot.

Around the hole is water damage but the wood is still solid and dry not soft. After the wood crumbled out the water was going into the storage locker under it not continuing to soak into the wood. I'm not saying it doesn't need to be replaced. I just can't afford to pull the cap or do major re-decking right now. Just want to enjoy it for a season or two before major work. I already cut the front deck out for the same reason. That was something I could handle but where this one is I will need to send it to a shop. So far the floor is solid.

Decking isn't what you should be worried about. Transom and stringers and bulkheads. If wood suspended in mid air is wasted then what is at the bottoms is scarey. And that is not solid wood what is left.

I understand you don't want to do this. I didn't either. But Extended Vacations in Egypt on Denial are not making it a safe boat.
