Filling in screw holes

I recently purchased a Lowrance Elite 5 FF/GPS combo to upgrade my old unit. I have seen a ton of threads on hole repair but nothing specific to my situation that I could find so hope this is not repeat. I have a 17 foot smokercraft aluminum hull. The old unit's mounting plate is not compliant with the new units transducer, in addition the GPS capability will allow me to not install a speed transducer.

So a couple of questions....I am going to use as many existing holes as possible, obviously the wire holder holes I will re-use and am planning on using 5200 to seal those with the screws. However there will be some small screw holes I would like to seal permanently that went to the old speed transducer. How should I seal those?

Just a note, these are all pretty small holes, so not sure a dowel type system for filling would work.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Filling in screw holes

If the screw holes are in the aluminum use jb weld, if in fiberglass use marine tex.

They are in Aluminum, will allow for the movement of the metal over time?
