Can anyone help/advise me on following please? I removed the rusty screwed rod 3/8inch OD that was the engine mounting bolts, after removing the bolts and the Sikoflex sealent, I noticed that due to several holes being made the mounting hole is now quite large! the wood inside of area is missing but surrounding wood is dry due to sealent, I have been advised to use Epoxy (which I intend to do)to replace the missing wood but how can I put epoxy in there and then enter the engine mounting bolts, some kind of syringe? I have not used epoxy yet but have bought 2 books on subject and want to do job correctly. Thank you JBD.

Drill them out to clean wood, epoxy a wooden plug in 1/8" to 1/4" short of the gelcoat on each end. Then epoxy to the gelcoat level.

Or, using a bent nail or old allen wrench in a drill motor, clean out core wood about 1/2 inch around the existing hole and between the fiberglass laminates on transom. Then tape or otherwise block hole on inner transom, fill holes with epoxy mixed with appropriate filler, and allow to cure. Grind off any excess and redrill for mounting bolts. Good luck.

Thanks again everyone, on further examination I have found the 2 top mounting holes have filler in them (looks like epoxy)as its to hard to be car body filler! but the bottom two have not been filled! only sealent, maybe due to location ie; difficult access, so will clean out holes and see if I can inject epoxy and redrill and use method explained by EBOYLAN3, will update to let you know progress, thanks for now JBD.
