Took The boat out today for a final ride and to get some Fuel stabilizer through the engine. Air temp 60 water temp 58 Top speed 35 mph conditions perfect... Just finished final clean and wax and engine winterization, Fuel stab, drain lower unit and refill( no water ) fog carbs and engine.. and of course flushed the salt water out of it with fresh for over an hour... Just need to call and make an appointment for a boat wrapping....

Re: Final outting today( successful )

I hate the last trip, I fish and have a camper top for mine so as long as there isn't snow or ice on the ramp I am in.

Normally Thanksgiving is the last trip for me btu this year is being a little weird with temps in the high 60s all week which for northern Indiana is really warm.

I don't really have any winter project to do on the boat so not looking forward to this winter, it is a long 4 months.

Got to finish ours today. Stabilizer run through already. Business trip and a new travel trailer delayed me finishing completely. Changing lower unit oil today, clean out the interior, back it in to it's new winter spot (due to travel trailer storage location) and put the mothballs and downy sheets in place. Cover her up and see her in spring !!!
Truly a sad day :(

I honestly feel terrible for all of the boaters who have to winterize. We're considering moving from Florida to Virginia and I'm dreading the fact that I'll have to start winterizing the boat and won't be able to use it all year!
