After getting all of the electrical and machanical/structural issues taking care of on my project boat I took her out this weekend. The cosmetic work isn't done, but who cares. At this point I just want to be on the water. She did well on her first run. I had a couple of bugs to work out, but nothing major.
One little oops for the day was I hit a sandbar. I wasn't going to fast and didn't really plow into it....just enough to slow me down and kick up my outboard. Well my wife and friend and 4yo son would let me live it down. When we got home, my son was in the tub with one of his toy reliving the day. I hear "Daddy, come here" So I walk in, and with a devilish grin he goes..."This is you." He pushes the boat in the water as if it was on a plane and then plows the bow down and goes "ERRRRRRT". He thought he was real funny! Needless to say I played it up to make him feel like he got one on me. But it was pretty funny.
