Glad you can now get out there. Same issue for us around here. Conestoga Lake loses around 4 to 5 ft of water the week before Labor day. Really Sucks.

Every few years Hopatcong opens the damn and lets the water down. I think its so water front residents can do retaining wall and dock repairs. Its a lake full of huge bolders that are normally not an issue, but lower the water level 5 or 6 feet and boating is dangerous.

Glad to hear it! Have some fun this summer.

Lake Huron's level is up significantly this spring as well. In fact our three 50' sections of dock and my firepit have all been threatened by the rising water.

It is good to see the pendulum swing back the other direction, the levels have been down for the last 15-20 years pretty steadily.

Is that where the water that used to flood Wayne came from? I got to see some spectacular floods there in 82-83 ;)

No, the Wayne floods are from the passaic watershed , probably due to the paving over of north jersey and poor or restricted down stream drainage rivers.

Re: Finally Can Go Boating

I need it to warm up around here.

It has not been over 75 in weeks here. It will get down to 35 tonight!

The 15 day has a few days in the low 80's but really more of the same.

When will the real summer weather take over?
I hate how summer seems to never get here. Seems like we have to wait till late june till we get any real warm weather around here.
