I finally got my e-mail saying my digital camera was ready to be picked up. It is a good thing I can check my work e-mail from home but not everyone either knows how or even has that ability so I wonder how many more will have to wait till school starts back before getting thier stuff. I have to say so far I am impressed with it and it's features but I still have a long way to go before I can fully use it. I did find out that the basic jpeg it takes is way too large for online and I have to figure out how to make the file size and such smaller. I can use adobe or the camera itself I just need to decide how small I want the camera to do because doing it with the camera affects the quality of the image. Anyway I just wanted to let those intrested know I got it and to expect some pictures soon.

Peterfisherbuster, I had the same problem with my camera at first. The files were huge and everytime I sent someone a jpg it took them 10 minutes to download. On our camera the quality of the picture determines the size of the jpg. Poor quality=small jpg, med=bigger (the one I use most) high quality=biggest jpg. Great for prints but not for sending..too many pixels.

Me too. Take your pictures at 640 x 480 if you're just going to use them on the 'net'. Also, if you have Adobe photoshop, click File / save for web. It keeps the picture quality but shrinks the size of the file which works great for the 'host' sites. Happy snapshotting! :)
