Upon inspection of soft spot in sole. A little more rot than I thought.

Looks like I need to replace stringers. The port one was completely powdered.

Grinding out hull. Notice the grey resin from a previous repair.

Hull ground out to original fiberglass. Well supported and measured.

Re: Finally: My Restoration

I did not split the boat. The cap is still on the boat. I did remove the rub rail, but reinstalled some rivits to keep it in place. But if you mean how did I remove the floor, I used a circular saw set to the depth of the floor sheeting. Started cutting in the centre and worked myself to the sides so I could ascertain where the floor met the hull.
Here is a later image that shows the whole boat.

I will keep posting the project here as I have time.
Cheers

Re: Finally: My Restoration

Good Idea sitting the boat on tires Rat! The first time I unloaded my tri-hull I used dock floatation foam I fished out of the lake in the same way. Every year for a long time you could find big chunks of it floating in the lake. I have a big one I use as a bow target backstop. It was so big and waterlogged, we had to tow it to shore!
