My friend and I have narrowed our search for our first boat to a Stingray 220 CS. It seems to fill all our requirements. Fast and fun, heavy enough to handle the Delaware River around Philadelphia. Modern and good looking. Book values run from $6500 to low tens, but the market doesn't seem to agree with us. They are hard to find and prices people are asking seem way out of line for a boat that is 10 to 15 years old. Does anyone have any input on the boat? We live in Philadelphia. If you know someone who has one for sale, have been on the boat or can think of a viable substitute, we would love to hear from you. Would we be happy with a smaller (190 CS) boat or just stay the course and wait things out? Thanks

I have a 2001 220 CS. Bought it in April of 1999 for $11k (had 140 hours). I boat in MA/RI bays and it is a great boat. I have never been worried but the boat bangs in the rough stuff (compared to deep v cc and w/a I have been on of similar size). We sleep it on it once in awhile and the boat is very versatile and easy to tow with most vehicles.
