Boat has basically been sitting for a few years. Needs some TLC. Starter looks to be dead. Just doesn't engage. Getting signal when in Start position. Can't even jump the terminals to start.

Need to make sure I'm getting the right one for the boat. I haven't removed the old one yet. Will it have a stamped model #? Engine serial # is 1A070072. 3.0L TKS made in 9/07.

Rarely does a starter go bad from just sitting. Battery fully charged, battery cables both pos and neg cleaned at both ends/
There pretty much standard over the years for the 3.0. 2 bolts straight across

Check your cable connections. Seriously doubt its the starter

If it was connections wouldn't I still be able to jump it with a screwdriver? I thought maybe battery but replaced it last weekend and left it on trickle charge all week. I have 12v at the main post. I didn't check the voltage on the switch post but my test light shows it working with the key in the run position. Both sides of the fuse on the starter show light also. Could it just be a bad solenoid? Not even the slightest click.

I Had to replace my starter once it ran fine end of season was doing the same things in the spring as yours took the starter apart and found the starter brush springs had rusted an broken over the winter ! I put some new springs in it cleaned up the commutator bolted it back on to test it and fired right up but brushers were getting short had some wear so I ordered a new starter and kept it as back up wasn't worth breaking down and the head ache

If you jump the main solenoid at the starter you should spin the motor . If not, you have a bad battery, bad cables, bad connections, bad starter

Right. I had to do this last fall to get it started. Now I can't even get it started by jumping. No click or anything.

There's a reason I come to you guys. To be shamed.

I pulled the starter and tested it. It was fine. Took sand paper to the connections (I couldn't find my wire brush) and reinstalled the starter. Ayuh, Boats running. "and thats all i have to say about that"

Fuel gauge showing E. Testing the sender. Resistance is fine 30-200 ohm. Testing gauge. works fine. I can only hope its more bad connecting wires.

Broke my oil filter wrench getting the F/W separator filter off.

I'm determined to get her back out there. It's been about 4 years since she touched water. Did i mention that WAS fresh water. She's going in open water now, like brackish and salt water. It's a brand new nightmare.
