Fine scratches on pontoons

The boat dealership advised me to use scotch brite on my toons. After they dried I have fine scratches on the toons where I scrubbed. I thought I bought non-abrasive but threw the wrapper away. Any ideas to help with the scratches? Thanks

Sand with increasing grits of sandpaper, likely starting with 600 grit and going up to 1500 and/or polishing compound and a buffing wheel.
