Re: Finish nailer and my poor thumb

when i was working in a shop that also had a tranny shop I went over to help the tranny builder pull a torque converter that was set up on the shaft. had 2 guys with bars prying and me holding it down. something happened and my hand got under it and when they pryed up and then it came crashing down my hand was between it and the corner of a mount on the bench. something went all the way through the palm of my hand by my little finger knuckle. knew immediatly was time to goto ER. on monday morning told tranny guy never to ask me to help him at 10 till 5 on a friday.
doesn't compare to dropping 3 pound ball pien hammer of 8 foot ladder on a friday afternoon and catching it with my head. went to ER called wife for ride home cause they didn't think i should drive and she laughed at me. doctor asked me if i had any lose of memory I said Yeah before.....I forgot the hammer was up there

Nail guns are very dangerous. Always keep anything you value (fingers, privates, ect.)out of range of the nail when firing the gun. I can't count the number of times I've seen a fired nail turn around and come out the face of a board, where most people would have their hand or fingers. I cringe while watching these home improvement shows when they give a kid (or other inexperienced person)a nail gun and let them go at it.

Anyway, while my brother was trying to knock the trim off a cabinet (hammering back towards his face) he missed the trim and knocked his 2 front teeth out. Now he has caps. He didn't think it was too funny.......
