Well, I've done it, the transom repaired the engine in. Took the day off work today and made all the final connections and after fiddling with the distributor just a little bit, my automotive 4.3 fired right up. I'll post some pics on my site about this shortly. BTW I used the marine flywheel with the automotive balancer.

I have this feeling you are going to be looking for a different oil pan soon. Unless its an optical illusion,the pan looks a bit too deep to fit.

Ayuh,..........<br />Unless of course,... Captianloud's Raised the X dimension by,... Ohh,.. 5 or 6 Inches.......... <br /><br /><br />The Pictures are just alittle Large Too......<br /><br />Maybe that's why All 3 times I've tried to visit Captianloud's website,........<br />My 'Puter Locks Up,+ Needs a Reboot..............

That IS the Mercruiser oil pan. It was identical to the Chevy oil pan except that the auto version was more rusty.<br />I'll post a pic of the installed engine post alignment on the site. <br /><br />THe pics on the site are all around the 200K range in size but I think there are 18 of them.

Actually the long block looked small until all the accessories went in.

Captainloud -- I saw where you got the engine for $65... How much do you have in it now that the machine shop did their part, and you bought the new parts for it???
