My boat came with a Fire Suppression System. There are 2 canasters by the transom. I assume the canasters have a limited life (much like a regular fire extinguisher). While they are full now, I will need to replace them at some point. Where can one purchase these? I looked here on iboats and could not locate them.

Re: Fire Suppression System

You most likely have a Fireboy system, the canisters should have gauges on them, if they show "charged", you should be good.

I'd contact http://www.fireboy-xintex.com/. Ask for Dan Paulson. Tell him Bob C from Proline sent you...

No prob. I've dealt with the guys at Fireboy quite a bit over the years, mainly with their CO detectors. Never had a bit of a problem with their fire suppression systems. They make a quality product...

Re: Fire Suppression System

Any fire extinguisher service company can inspect and recertify them. Depending on the system, this may entail removing and inspecting hoses, weighing cannisters, recharging the system, etc.
