Re: Firestone

Firestone's 1950s motors were made by Scott-Atwater. Some parts are interchangeable between the two marques. All models generally 1/2 pint oil to the gal of gas. Breaker point setting is .020. Your motor was made between 1953-55. Sorry that is as close as I have info for.

Re: Firestone

Hi First Mate, It looks like your motor is a 1953.
Go to scottatwater.com and then go to the Firestone link. It goes over the code, and model numbers and which numbers to invert to tell the year of the motor. I was able to get a service manual and parts catalog for the one I miss placed on my 5 HP that I purchased new. One of these days I hope to get it back running.

Also go to Goggle and type in Scott Atwater, Firestone....

There are still parts around, but some people think they are made of gold, so look around and shop. I picked up an impeller and a lower houseing for a very reasonable price by shopping.
Gerald K4NHN
Cayce, SC
