Top starboard plug is 1, bottom port is 4.<br />Looking at the plugs from the rear --<br /><br /> #1<br />#2<br /> #3<br />#4<br /><br />The firing order is 1-2-3-4. I was wondering if that is the backfiring problem. Be sure your primary coil wires are on correctly also.<br /><br />Good luck!
