First bellows job

So I changed the bellows on my Alfa 1 Gen II yesterday, whats the big deal? I have heard how difficult it is,wrong, it took me about 4 hours including gimbal bearing and alignment. The only special tool needed is the alignment shaft. Gimbal bearing came out with a standard bearing puller and drove it in with a piece of pipe same diameter as the bearing OD.Two things I did find out, bellows adhesive is just 3M weather strip adhesive, power tune is the same as combustion chamber cleaner. Want to try a real difficult job try changing a 4r70w transmission in a Ford Expedition, or the back spark plugs in a Pontiac Montana, now that can really try your patience.

Re: First bellows job

Did you use the spreader tool for the job or just improvise? I have to do the same job soon and could use a tip or two if you have them. I'm a bellows virgin myself.

I didn't need the spreader, I used the exhaust tube instead of the bellows, much easier.
