I've saved up my money and am looking for my first boat. So far I've found one that suits what I want. It is a 1995 Starcraft 1810 with a 4.3 merc and its in pretty decent condition. Guy wants $8500 for it which seems a little high to me. It would work well for my wife and I for skiing, cruising and a little bit of fishing. I can't find any similarly equiped Starcrafts on the internet so I'm having trouble gauging the price.

Growing up my family always had Glastrons and I don't know anything about the Starcraft brand. Is it any good, solid construction? Any thoughts on the boat and Starcraft would be appreciated.

I just looked it up on nadaguides and it show about $6000, without adding any options. I don't know anything about that brand though. Try looking it up with water options it has.
Welcome to iboats!!!!

Re: First Boat Purchase

Starcraft has been around the upper midwest for years. Sort of a middle of the road boat. Manufacturers come and go but the good ones just keep moving on and Starcraft falls in that category. The engine and outdrive are used by other manufacturers. Starcraft has nothing to do with that -- they simply install it.

I've had multiple Starcraft aluminum boats and they are very well made. If the fiberglass ones are anything like the aluminum boats, you'd be getting a great. boat.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to make an offer on the boat tonight.
